Fangirl meets Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda in this funny and poignant coming-of-age novel from New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren about two boys who fall in love in a writing class—one from a progressive family and the other from a conservative religious community.

Three years ago, Tanner Scott’s family relocated from California to Utah, a move that nudged the bisexual teen temporarily back into the closet. Now, with one semester of high school to go, and no obstacles between him and out-of-state college freedom, Tanner plans to coast through his remaining classes and clear out of Utah.

But when his best friend Autumn dares him to take Provo High’s prestigious Seminar—where honor roll students diligently toil to draft a book in a semester—Tanner can’t resist going against his better judgment and having a go, if only to prove to Autumn how silly the whole thing is. Writing a book in four months sounds simple. Four months is an eternity.

It turns out, Tanner is only partly right: four months is a long time. After all, it takes only one second for him to notice Sebastian Brother, the Mormon prodigy who sold his own Seminar novel the year before and who now mentors the class. And it takes less than a month for Tanner to fall completely in love with him.

Gah! Sometimes I find myself at a loss for words when it comes to Christina Lauren's books. They never cease to bring a smile to my face or know exactly what I'm feeling but never saying. Any time this dynamic duo puts out another book I jump at the chance to read. They are two of my favorites. But I can admit when I heard about Autoboyography I was a little nervous because I had never read a LGBT book before and I wasn't sure what to expect.

But I'm not sure why I was EVER worried about this book because lets face it everything these ladies do is perfect and this book is no different. I truly mean it when I say I couldn't put this book down. I was lost to Tanner's and Sebastian's story. And let me tell you, it's stuff of legends. Something that I will never forget.

Tanner is bisexual and is living Utah, a place that doesn't except not being straight. He has no problems loving men and neither does his family. Tanner really has the best family, a family many young men in today's society wished they had. His family doesn't judge but uplifts. But when he finds himself lost in the eyes of Sebastian Brother, his family starts to worry a little bit.

Tanner is taking a Seminar class with his best friend Autumn and they have to write a novel. Sebastian used to take this class and his book got published, so he is the teachers aid, and is helping anyone who needs help with their book. Everyone knows Sebastian and his Mormon family. They are high on the podium of famous in Provo. Sebastian is a Mormon prodigy and everybody knows his name.

This book is so relevant in our time and the struggles the lgbt community face. It really is a beautiful book and I loved every page. I fell in love with all the characters in the story and found myself cheering them along.
