Review: Mind Games

Mind Games by Kiersten White

Mind Games really is a big mind game. I'm not trying to be cute here, I'm telling you the truth. I loved the book, adored the book. I think it deserves 5 stars... but let me warn you. This is not a book you can casually read while paying attention to other things going on around you. (I've heard stories that people do this??? So unfair to the books they're reading..anyway..) You really have to keep your head in the game with this one. If you're not paying attention, you'll find yourself in the next chapter confused and really not understanding what's going on... and well, I kinda love that.

In Mind Games we meet sisters who are special. They're empaths, they have gifts. Annie can see the future... though not always when she wants. She's a "seer." Sophia is something that no one has really seen before. She has perfect instincts. She never "guesses" wrong. She knows where to turn, what to wear, and who to trust within a second of the choice being given to her. Sounds pretty cool right? I guess it is, until someone's out to get you...to use you, for their own personal gain. And where there's one group of people wanting to use you, there's usually another group out there waiting for the upper hand.
Oh, I didn't mention that Annie is blind and totally dependent on her sister for survival did I? Well that throws a wrench in plans doesn't it? I probably also left out that hottie James (because I'm saving him for me.) Obviously I'm not going to tell you the whole story because what fun would that be for you, since you're going to go pick up the book and read it now. ;) But do trust me when I say that the book is amazing. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of the second in this series, and I started it (today. the same day I finished Mind Games) and I finished it today. So, the sequel doesn't disappoint either. If you're a fan of psychic abilities, of girls who know they have to be strong to survive, or real world problems, or just a fan of getting lost in a book, then this series is for you. Happy Reading!
