To say I was thrilled when I received an arc copy of Reel, would be an understatement I totally did some dancing around my living room and squealing when I saw it on my kindle. There is nothing that gets me in my feels like a Kennedy Ryan book. Her words sing to my soul, in a way that no other author can do.
One of my favorite things about her books is that they are so relevant to the time and issues that we face in today's society. But she writes them with such grace and raw talent. Every word is so thought out and so structured to the story. She's one of my favorite authors out there. I mean I have her quote, "We all bruise," tattooed on my forearm. Her words speak truth.
Reel was such an amazing read! I loved it from the very first page. One of my favorite things was how the story was wrapped up in Hollywood and the movie they were filming throughout the book. It gave the book so much depth and let you go deeper into the characters. And in such a gorgeous way. Trust me, when you read this beauty you will understand.
Canon and Neevah are two strong willed characters that didn't know needed each other, until their paths cross. They both had my immediate interest. I loved their dynamic and how Canon fought for what he wanted and thought was right. And that Neevah spoke her mind. Such amazing characters and an outstanding story.
