Book Review: BABY DADDY by Kendall Ryan

A hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.

We met in a trapped elevator.

Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie. I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right? At thirty-five, my life hadn't taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting-I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen. After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner-he also insisted on something else-that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn't want kids, I'd be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way. But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for. This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making ! Enjoy.

"It's ridiculous how scorching hot he is and how I've run into him here, now, of all times and places. It's almost like the universe is laughing at me. Mocking my decision to give up on finding a partner to plant his seed in my garden of love."

This was my first Kendall Ryan book and to say I was excited to read, would be an understatement. I was ecstatic to dive into this book. I knew it was definitely going to be right up my alley. But let me tell you...I devoured this book in one day. ONE DAY! That's how amazing it was. Since the very first page, to the very end I was held captive by Jenna's and Emmett's story.

I found myself snorting laughing at most scenes and just simply reading with a smile on my face. This book was so much fun and just a perfect read.

"But I don't want to leave. I want to fall asleep holding her in my arms, wake up with her beside me, maybe get breakfast together if there's time before work."

Jenna wants a baby. It's that simple. She's getting to that age where she doesn't see herself settling down because men are stupid and it's just not in the cards for her. She has it all planned out but all her plans change when she just gets stuck in the elevator on her way to the clinic and meets Emmett a powerful CEO. Being stuck in an elevator you can learn a lot about the person you're stuck with.

When Emmett finds out where she is going #thespankbank he proposes an idea to her. Use him to have a baby. That way they both get something out of it and he wants nothing to do with a baby. His work is hectic and he has no room for a relationship much less a baby.

When Jenna agrees the last thing she plans on is to fall for Emmett. To enjoy his company, enjoy talking to him, and feel lonely when he's not around. These two find solace in each other and it was the LAST thing they had planned.

Watching these two grow and fall for each other was so much fun. I absolutely loved these two and I will definitely be reading more Ryan books in the future.
