Book Review: To Crown a Beast by R. Scarlett

Title: To Crown a Beast
Author: R. Scarlett
Genre: Paranormal Romance

She tasted his sweetness, his power, and his love, and it destroyed him.
That iron heart has turned to ashes, leaving only a heartless beast.
One she vows to tame.
One she vows to save.
Before he rips her own heart out.
"The man she loved now long gone, replaced by a beast: dark hungry for pain and suffering."

Ahh, it was so bittersweet to hear this was the last book in the Blackest Gold Series but I was itching to have this beauty in my hands. I feel like these books have been apart of me for so long now and I definitely didn't want it to end. But man...is this book EVERYTHING!

"He smelled the same, masculine and heavy smoke, and he tasted like whisky and sin, and his lips moved like war, conquering and unrelenting, vicious to the core."

Tensely and Molly are back, and they are back with a bang. Now faced with their most difficult task, these two will have to put everything on the line to be with each other. The man she loves is now heartless and she will risk everything to get the man she loves back. She needs him. But taming the beast will end up to be the hardest thing she has ever done.

"You're the only one who can tame him. You tame the beast; you're the beast's keeper."

You thought you had seen everything but you thought wrong. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time while reading this book. The tension in this read was sky high and it was worth every glass of wine that was consumed while reading. This series couldn't have ended in a better way.

"You are my court, my crown, my queen."

Though this series is now over, I look forward to reading them all over again in the future. Tensely Knight will forever be one of my favorite characters. And I can't wait to read more by this author in the near future.

R. Scarlett lives in a small quaint town in Southern Ontario, Canada and has an unhealthy obsession with mythology and romance.

From studying English literature and minoring in History, she loves losing herself in a good book and snuggling up to her Brittany Spaniel.

When she's not writing or plotting a delicious novel, she can be found hanging out with friends and family, going on long car rides, exploring small towns, or watching reruns of Sex and the City.
