This was my first book by this author and I purely dove into this book because of the gorgeous cover. Then after reading the synopsis I was sold. I am a sucker for HGTV and then to read a book that's just like it...mind blown.
I devoured this book in one sitting. Sydney and Tristian were two characters that were so fun to read, and watch grow. I love watching characters become developed over the course of a good book and these two definitely end up to be amazing characters.
Sydney and Tristian had an affair years ago. A secret relationship. Sydney was part of the Pierce family. She grew up in their family and surrounded by Pierce men. Sydney had always had a huge crush on Tristian but he tried to avoid her at all costs. She was always like a little sister to him or a shadow behind him. Never anything more...until she was.
But they are quickly torn apart when he leaves her and she has never really forgiven him for what he did. But Sydney is harboring a big secret. A secret that he may never forgive her for. These two have been through a lot in their lives and now that they work together, they know they will never be a couple again. But they can't fake the attraction that they have for one another.
I loved everything about this book. It was so fun and such a quick read. Sydney and Tristian have a lot to tell, and they are ready to be heard.
