Genre: Contemporary Romance/ Romantic Comedy

The third in the hilarious yet sizzling hot Hudson Valley series from New York Time and USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton.

Clara Morgan is living the dream, if you can call rebranding hotels that are desperate for a new life and running any kind of marathon a dream. Which she does. But the career she loves and the endurance races that keep her adrenaline pumping have kept her too busy to put down any roots. Growing up in foster care, she’s never been able to establish traditions of her own, which may be why she’s fascinated by the rituals that generations-old family resorts are known for. She’s especially interested in the Bryant Mountain House, and not just for their secret recipe for the yummy, gooey, can’t-get-enough-of Hot Cross Buns….

Archie Bryant, the man with the Buns, is fifth generation and one-day-owner of the charming yet run-down Bryant Mountain House in Bailey Falls, New York. He’s determined to save his family’s legacy from the wrecking ball the old-fashioned way—by gritting his teeth and doing what needs to be done. There’s no way Archie will be influenced by the new hotel branding expert his father brought in to turn one hundred and fifty years of tradition on its head just to attract a faster, younger, slicker crowd. But when some of Clara’s ideas start bringing in new, paying customers, Archie can’t deny that she may have just given him a shot at keeping his resort open.

It’s sticky, it’s messy, it’s sweet, it’s Buns.

The Hudson Valley Series is definitely one of my favorite series. Every time I see a new book coming in this series, I instantly have it pre-ordered and am counting down the days until I have it in my hot little hands. And Buns did NOT disappoint.

Buns follows the story of Clara and Archie. These two come from completely different lives and totally weren't raised anything alike. Clara didn't have an easy start at life but that hasn't stopped her from living her life to the best of her ability. And now she has a job that she loves and she couldn't ask for more.

Archie has had the complete opposite life. He has a big family, a loving family, and lots of family counting on him in his family hotel business. His Dad runs Bryant Mountain House and so did his father before him. But now Archie is ready to take the business but he has a different way of doing things. A more professional outlook than a his father does.

But Archie is in for a wild ride when Clara comes to Bryant Mountain ready to change and improve everything that is this gorgeous hotel. Archie though is not ready for the changes that need to happen to actually happen. He likes things the way they are and the way they have always been.

These two quickly find comfort in each other and lost in their values for life. And how precious it is. Archie changes Clara in ways that she thought she would never change and makes her feel like she's...loved. Oh and did I mention that he is gorgeous. Like freckles and glasses HAWT!

This story was so beautiful and so fun. I loved every page and absorbed every word. Only Clayton can make me laugh till I cry but still curl in a ball with feels. Buns is the third installment in the Hudson Valley Series and you definitely don't wanna miss out on this sticky read.

New York Times Best Selling author ALICE CLAYTON worked in the cosmetics industry for over a decade before picking up a pen (read: laptop).

She enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up, and has finally convinced her long-time boyfriend to marry her.
