Everything about this book...is perfect. I always look forward to having a new Jackson book to read and this one definitely didn't disappoint. But when does she ever? She can always make me cry, laugh, and cry some more but always feeling utter love for her characters.
The Bleeding Stars series is one of my all time favorites. I never get tired of reading about this band and these amazing characters. I feel like they are apart of me now and I never want to let them go. And Willow and Ash were no different.
These two...they deserve all the happiness in the world but life has had different plans for them and they haven't been the best plans. They have suffered, they have lost, they have felt pain...they know what true suffering feels like. It's nothing new to them but they have learned to live with it. To bury it down and live with the pain that life has cruelly chosen to give to them.
But they find comfort in each other. They find peace with each other. Their messed up lives fade when they are with each other. Though Willow is skeptical of Ash and his rockstar/playboy life...she can't ignore how he makes her feel. Alive. Like her life is worth living, despite her suffering.
If anyone deserves happiness in their life, it's these two. Reading their book felt like real life. Like I was peeking into the window of Willow and Ash. Everything about this book felt so real. Like I could feel their pain, their suffering...their smiles. Stay is the soul source of what living should look like. Rising from the ashes.
But can Willow and Ash move past their pain and see what's right in front of them? Or will Ash run back to his rockstar life and give up the chance to stay?
