From New York Times bestselling author, J. Daniels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE novel. Riley Tennyson has made a huge mistake. At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself. Showing up to her brother’s wedding pissed off and newly single, Riley seeks comfort in solitude and an open bar, until the gorgeous and irresistibly charming CJ Tully makes her a better offer―a wild night with the master of smooth-talking where nothing is off limits. Riley does what any single woman would do, and a connection is made. One neither one of them can ignore. But when she comes home to the boyfriend she no longer thought she had, Riley buries her secret and begs CJ to do the same. Forget about each other. It was a mistake. That’s all it was… right? Desires are hidden. Distance is kept. Until one night CJ makes the ultimate sacrifice, and Riley can no longer avoid the man she can’t stop thinking about. Not with him sleeping down the hall…

"Rule number two when in the presence of CJ Tully: Do not touch anything."

Whenever I see J working on something new...the child inside me comes alive. Her books are an instant auto-buy and a must read. You can never go wrong with one of her books. They are filled with all the right fun, all the right sexiness, and all the right feels. And What I Need was no different.

Riley has always felt like the outsider. She's never felt like she was apart of the squad. Being the younger sister of Reed Tennyson, she's always been loved and protected but she's always kind of felt alone. Her brother has a woman and all his friends are married. They are a squad. A tight family and they would do anything for each other. But she's always felt like an outsider peering inside the window watching them.

"Tell me a secret."

That is until the weekend of her brothers wedding...she finally gets a proper introduction to the man himself. CJ Tully. She's seen him before but she's never actually met him. And she can't seem to look away from him. He's the perfect male specimen. Everything about him screams to Riley. Screams to have her fingers running over his body and her tongue along the ridges of his muscles that don't seem real.

"I'm having a real hard time not kissing you right now."

These two find themselves wrapped around each other in all the right ways. Tangled in the sheets and lost in coconut conversations. But after the blissful weekend is over and reality sets in...these two know they won't have it easy.

CJ is used to getting what he wants. He was a good job on on the Ruxton Police force and he has the best  friends a man could ask for. But he can't get Riley out of his head. The taste of her off his tongue. The smell of her out of his senses. He's stuck on Riley Girl. He needs her. But he's faced with the reality that he may never have her. Since she was never his to begin with.

"She smells like the sun and beach and smoke from the lit tiki torches."

These two soon find each other thrown into each others lives whether they wanted to be there or not. Lost in whispered secrets and CJ's southern charm. Knowing she could be happy with him. He wants to give her everything already and they hardly know each other. But they are strictly just friends. Nothing more. Riley knows CJ is part of her brothers squad and one of his very best friends. And being with Riley could ruin everything for them and she won't risk that.

But she soon finds herself lost in his eyes, lost in his friendly touches, lost in his charm and lost in their whispered secrets. And he finds himself lost in her body, lost in her eyes, lost in everything that is Riley Tennyson. He wants her. But does she want him?

"CJ Tully is the world's dirtiest charmer."

I was so lost in Riley's and CJ's story that I never wanted it to end. These two are a riot of everything that is love, life, and passion. I found myself living in these characters and losing all since of reality. In all the best ways. They will forever have a special place in my heart and I'm ready for a re-read already.

"One body. One heartbeat. One irresistible desire."
