A dark past…
Grace Witherspoon’s old life in New York was slowly killing her. Daily abuse at the hands of her fiancé forced her to do the unthinkable: Fake her own death and leave the ballet world behind. Now with a fresh start in small town Tennessee, she finally feels safe— as long as no one finds out who she really is. The last thing she needs is the local cop hanging around trying to make-nice. Even if he is the hottest thing in the South, Grace is done with men.
A bleak future…

Someone once asked me how I started writing. I’ve always had stories in my head even as a very young girl. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I began putting them down on paper and it was then I realized my destiny in life was to be a writer. I write both paranormal romance and contemporary romance and I love them for different reasons. I love paranormal romance because I love for my heroes to have super human strength and be invincible to death. I love that the bad guy always gets what’s coming to him and I love that my heroines can save themselves. I love writing contemporary because I love watching my characters deal with real life events with dignity and courage and in the end they do get their happy ending.
My first book, LOST WITHOUT YOU book 1 of the CLOVERTON SERIES, lets me write something different. This series lit a fire in my soul to continue writing this small town set in fictional Cloverton, Tennessee. I grew up in a small town in Mississippi so I know what it’s like to live in a small town. They have their pluses and their minuses. Some people like to idealize small towns like a Norman Rockwell painting but unfortunately that’s not very realistic. When writing this series, I’ve tried to stay as close to reality as possible. Small towns tend to label people and there certainly are some cliques. But small towns also take care of their own and are loyal to their friends. People in small towns depend on each other in ways a big city never could. And when there is an emergency or a need, the people put aside their differences and rally together for the good of the town.
Some of the things I’ve written about in Cloverton are based on fact, the other on fiction. Now it’s up to you to try to figure out which. Welcome to my small town of Cloverton, Tennessee. I do hope you’ll love it as much as I do.
