ARC Review: Royally Lost

Royally Lost by Angie Stanton

Royally Lost is one of those books you read to escape reality and get all dreamy and swoon over really hot dudes, and situations that would very rarely (if ever) happen to someone in real life. I absolutely adore Angie Stanton and her amazing ability to tell unbelievable stories - yet make them seem possible. She does it time and time again with her Jamieson Brothers series and she does it again with Royally Lost

Becca is on a family vacation across Europe with her family. I mean, this alone seems like a dream to me. What? A cruise, through Europe? Where can I sign up? However, she doesn't really want to be there, mostly because her family isn't exactly the ideal family, with a dad who works way too much - and a stepmom who seems to be trying to replace her mother. Add in a brother that gets into way much trouble and it's a recipe for any family vacation disaster.
Enter Nikolai. A prince who's on the run from the responsibility of the monarchy and the impending pressure to join the military. He's sexy, sweet, completely adorable, and Becca has no idea his country even exists, much less that he does. When they meet, and then keep meeting, it seems like fate is on their side. But is it really? You'll have to read to find out, but I promise you'll enjoy losing yourself (and your reality) in this book. You'll be wishing for Prince Nikolai to show up in the grocery store and sweep you off your feet...... okay, maybe that's how I wish it to happen.... anyway. Read it! I gotta be honest when I say that I kinda wanna be the one to sweep Becca's brother off his feet... maybe Angie can write about me next time. hahaaaaa!

Summary: Dragged on a family trip to Europe’s ancient cities, Becca wants nothing more than to go home. Trapped with her emotionally distant father, over-eager stepmother, and a brother who only wants to hook up with European hotties, Becca is miserable. That is until she meets Nikolai, a guy as mysterious as he is handsome. And she unknowingly finds herself with a runaway prince.

Nikolai has everything a guy could ask for-he's crown prince, heir to the throne, and girls adore him. But the one thing he doesn't have...is freedom. Staging a coup, he flees his kingdom and goes undercover on his own European tour.

When Nikolai and Becca meet, it’s their differences that draw them together. Sparks fly as they share a whirlwind of adventures, all the while dodging his royal guard. But Becca's family vacation ends in a matter of days. Will Nikolai and Becca be forced to say goodbye forever, will his destiny catch up to him, or will they change history forever?

About Angie: Angie Stanton never planned on writing books; she wanted to be a Rockette. However, growing up in rural Wisconsin, with her brothers' 4-H pigs as pets, dance didn't work out. Instead she became an avid daydreamer. After years of perfecting stories in her head, she began to write them down, and the rest is history.

Angie is the author of six books including Royally LostRock and a Hard Place, and Snapshot. She graduated with a Journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin, and is a proud double finalist of the National Readers Choice Awards for Love 'em or Leave 'em.

  1. I got this book from Edelweiss and started reading it. I got like 11% in and I just couldn't take the characters anymore. They drove me batty. Maybe I'll give it another shot..
