Music Spotlight: Justin Nault

Justin Nault: It's Just Me

We've done a couple of music posts here on grownupfangirl. Sometimes playlists for books, sometimes writers who draw inspiration from books.. but I think it's important to keep music in the conversation about books. Music is not just a playlist to the movies we see, and the books we read. It's a playlist to our lives. So with that, I bring you Justin Nault!

While we were out in Nashville post Dark Days tour, we took a little trip down to Broadway, where all the fun happens for late night. I'm a huge fan of piano bars, I have been since I first stepped foot in one 6 years ago, so I had to head back to Nashville's best piano bar: The Big Bang. The weather was really crappy that night, so it was a really low key night.  (I mean... we rode out a tornado warning with the authors on the Dark Days tour and all of their fans in Barnes and Noble. Talk about exciting!) After being personally serenaded by Justin singing Bruno Mars, I decided that I really liked his style, that he had amazing talent, and that I wanted to get behind him, and support him.

This brings us to today. After talking with him a great deal, finding out how awesome he is both on and off stage, I wanted to take a second to introduce you guys to him. He doesn't just do covers (though his covers are pretty freaking amazing), he also has all original material, and an album out and ready for your listening pleasure. You can buy the album on: iTunes, Amazon, BandCamp, and CDbaby. You can also buy his covers. If you're a spotify user, Justin is also on spotify!

I would love you guys forever (just kidding, I already do) if you could swing by Justin's social media sites and say hello! You don't even have to tell him I sent you. Just want him to feel the love he deserves for being so awesome! You can catch him on twitter, instagram, youtube, facebook, and google+ and of course his website.
Stay tuned for a review of the album, and a Q&A with Justin... and of course, if you're in the Nashville, TN - please stop by The Big Bang on Broadway and check him out live!
