Book Review: UNTIL IT FADES by K. A. Tucker

Title: Until it Fades
Author: K. A. Tucker
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 27th, 2017
Twenty-four-year-old truck stop waitress and single mother Catherine Wright has simple goals: to give her five-year-old daughter a happy life and to never again be the talk of the town in Balsam, Pennsylvania (population three thousand outside of tourist season).

And then one foggy night, on a lonely road back from another failed date, Catherine saves a man’s life. It isn’t until after the police have arrived that Catherine realizes exactly who it is she has rescued: Brett Madden, hockey icon and media darling.

Catherine has already had her fifteen minutes of fame and the last thing she wants is to have her past dragged back into the spotlight, only this time on a national stage. So she hides her identity. It works. For a time.

But when she finds the man she saved standing on her doorstep, desperate to thank her, all that changes. There’s an immediate connection, and it’s more electric than the bond of two people who endured a traumatic event. It’s something neither of them expected. Something that Catherine isn’t sure she can handle; something she is afraid to trust.

Because how long can an extraordinary man like Brett be interested in an ordinary woman like Catherine...before the spark fades?

Where do I even begin with this book?
Simply. Perfect.
Is the best way to describe this book. Tucker never disappoints when it comes to her stories and neither did this one. Such a beautiful story that she has written that leaves you with all the feels and begging for more.

Tucker has such a beautiful, yet simple way of writing that makes the story just seem effortless. Makes the characters leap off the page and makes you feel as though you are walking along side the characters as they are making their journey.

Until it Fades follows the story of single mother Catherine and her daughter Brenna. Cath has had anything but an easy life. She's happy in Balsam with her little girl and though it may not be the most extravagant life...she has all that she needs.

But one night as she is driving home from a horrible blind date, she sees a car that has run off the road in a horrible accident. She quickly pulls over and runs over to help these people out of the car. But little does she know who she is rescuing from this accident. Brett Madden...NHL legend.

Things are about to get a whole lot crazy in Catherine's life, even if she isn't prepared for it. The media is calling her name after rescuing Brett and it's the last thing that she wants.

These two are in for a whirlwind of drama, romance, and passion. Catherine and Brett are exactly what they needed and the last thing they wanted.
